We are pleased to inform you that "Vaikaazi Vizaham", a special day for Lord Murugan and his consorts Valli & Theivanai Ammans will be celebrated on Saturday 21st May 2016, at London Sivan Temple (4A Clarendon Rise, Lewisham, London SE13 5ES). Ladzsarchchanai (Hundred Thousand Archanai) for Load Murugan and his consorts will commence from evening, Monday 2nd May 2016, leading up to the special day evening Saturday, 21st May 2016.

Humanitarian project to build Toilets for Disabled People


Sivan Temple is blessed to lead a humanitarian project to build disabled people toilet, for those who have sustained severe leg, hand and spinal injuries during Vanni war.

Chariot Festival

They have been suffering for the last 6 years without any help. At present 33 disable persons are selected on a priority basis to receive the support. We humbly request all devotees to make your generous donation for the success of this project and help to relieve their suffering. We have procedures in place to monitor the handling of fund and check the progress of the project directly. As a Charity Organisation, caring for the development of the people in need, the London Sivan Kovil Trust distributed 34 bicycles to the students who have received scholarship, of various schools under ZONAL EDUCATION OFFICE, BATTICALOA WEST. The students not having any source of transportation facilities, faced difficulties in attending the Schools on time. To wipe out their difficulties and also make them attend the School on time, the London Sivan Kovil Trust distributed 34 bicycles for the students who are in need. This act has made students easier to reach their Schools on time.

Now the Students are very happy to have the Bicycles and the transportation will no more be a barrier for them in their educational career.





Home for Girls, Chettipalayam, Batticaloa

Charity Walk


The London Sivan Kovil Trust has been serving to the people in need and making their life standards in a higher level. In addition to its various social service, London Sivan Kovil Trust has adopted this Home for the girls with no support. Presently, there are 17 girls residing in the Home. Out of these, one girl has entered into the University level and another girl has completed her Teacher Training. Remaining girls are also excelling in their education. London Sivan Kovil Trust takes care of their education, food and accommodation for their better living. Well experienced teachers are appointed to provide them with good education, care and support.

The Trustees of London Sivan Kovil Trust visit the Sivan Illam at times for further planning, facilities and development keeping in view to give the best education to the girls residing in the Home for the betterment of their life and future. Click here for more photos.





CHARITY WALK ON 29TH SEPTEMBER,2013 TO AID NEEDY WIDOWS & ORPHANS

Charity Walk


A Charity Walk was successfully organised on the 29th of September, 2013 by the Trustees of London Sivan Temple, some Staff members of Barclays Bank - Lewisham and well-wishers from the public with the express purpose of collecting and donating funds to needy widows and orphans in Vanni of Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka.


A cash collection of 3000/- was matched with a similar amount as donation from Barclays Bank, Lewisham Branch. A photo appeared above is a glimpse of the charity walk held on the day. :







CHARIOT FESTIVAL -15.09.2013 - - SUNDAY

By and with the Divine Grace of Shri Arunasaleswarar and Sri Abheethakujambal, the Chariot Festival will be conducted this year on the above date and time at the London Sivan Temple, Lewisham, in a fitting manner as a previous occassions. Welcome to the Official London Sivan Kovil website. Located in Lewisham, the London Sivan Kovil is currently under reconstruction in accordance to the ancient Saiva scriptures. Once completed, the temple will be the first of its kind in Europe as a traditional Lord Shiva temple.
